University of Westminster celebrates launch of The Ignite Fund to unleash students’ potential

For the first time since 2019, students, colleagues, supporters and the wider Westminster community were able to come together and celebrate the launch of The Ignite Fund on 24 May 2023 at Chiltern Hall.
Richard Antwi Scholarship opens for sixth round with additional funding to further support BAME students

The Richard Antwi Scholarship for the University of Westminster’s Music Business Management MA course has opened applications for its sixth round. The Scholarship champions Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) aspiring music business professionals, and includes a new initiative, titled London Living Wage Stipend.
University of Westminster celebrates this academic year’s Quintin Hogg Trust-funded projects as further £5.5m funding announced

The second annual Quintin Hogg Trust (QHT) Celebratory Event was held at the University of Westminster’s Cavendish Campus on 10 May, as further QHT grant worth £5.5m was announced recently for University initiatives for the 2023-24 academic year.
Planning permission granted to University of Westminster to develop the UK’s most inclusive centre for employability and enterprise

Planning permission has now been granted enabling the University of Westminster to refurbish and extend their 29 Marylebone Road site to create a new hub for enterprise and industry in the heart of London.

Soho Poly Theatre

The Soho Poly is one of the last-surviving post-war fringe and alternative theatre venues. A seminal theatre space from 1972, it also has an earlier and equally fascinating musical and cultural history. This restoration will celebrate the past and engage the future of the space.

Hardship Fund

Studying at University places a financial strain on most students but for some this burden can be even greater. The reality of coping with this might mean working long unsociable hours in part time jobs, reducing – or even totally prohibiting – their ability to wholeheartedly commit to their University experience.
Scholarships

So many talented potential students miss out on a University education, simply because they do not have the funds to support the costs associated with tuition and living. For international students, or for those balancing family or work commitments alongside their studies, the pressures can be even greater.
29 Marylebone Road

We have been given the rare opportunity to recommit to our founding principle, to provide pioneering education to all, via the transformation of 29 Marylebone Road. The redevelopment is set to be the most ambitious undertaking in the University’s recent history, becoming a place where students, researchers and businesses can co-exist to mutually upskill and develop, invigorating London’s revival from the past 18 months.
